The Residence
Here the view is the architecture. Full-height sliding glass opens the living room to a canopy of trees, and every element inside is kept low so that nothing competes with it.
A restrained oriental sensibility runs through the room — lantern lamps, a long bench, timber-framed seating — expressed in a contemporary, uncluttered way.
Project Overview
The room is arranged symmetrically on a large woven rug: a linen sofa with a dark timber frame on one side, two timber-framed lounge chairs on the other, a low dark table and a long upholstered bench between them.
One wall is clad in large backlit panels of veined stone above a long, low timber cabinet. Timber-lined walls and a sloping ceiling with concealed light complete the enclosure.
Design Language
Modern oriental minimalism: symmetry, low horizontal furniture, natural fibres and light that glows from surfaces rather than fixtures.
